Bananas have several important qualities for skin health. They’re perfect for making masks for the face and can also prevent skin problems like acne. Bananas also slow down the formation of wrinkles and are very important for healing areas that have been affected by conditions like psoriasis.
Looking for a natural, easy and affordable treatment that will give you softer skin? Bananas will do just that – and they even remove impurities. Here’s how!
Banana mask for healthy skin
Banana is commonly used in face masks, which can be made by blending the fruit into a smooth puree. Apply the mixture to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes, then wash with warm water and gently dry your face with a clean towel.
Rich in potassium, bananas are superb for wrinkle prevention – plus, they help to minimise any existing wrinkles. With this in mind, make a banana puree and mix it with one tablespoon of blue agave. Leave it until it turns brown. Before applying it, wash your face well. Cover the entire face, including the area underneath the eyes. After 30 minutes, wash off with warm water.
Use this mask as often as you like. For noticeable results, we recommend that you indulge in this pampering session at least three times a week.
Banana peels for the win!
Bananas’ peels are rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins – all of which are hugely beneficial for the skin. Did you know, for instance, that you can treat an insect bite by rubbing a banana peel over the area? It will slowly begin to sooth the irritation. The peel also helps wounds heal more quickly. Banana has been shown to remove warts! Just place a small section of banana peel on the affected area for five to ten minutes each evening.
What else can banana peel do? Well, it can help banish acne. Not only will this treatment make outbreaks completely disappear, but it will not leave any marks on the skin. For best results, you should use this treatment every night until the problem has completely disappeared. This method can also be used to reduce the symptoms of psoriasis.
